Let’s Count our Local Area, Part 2 Year 6 We can now compare quantities, including looking at ratio and proportion. For example: If for every one 1 bus we saw 6 cars, the ratio is: 1 bus to 6 cars (1:6) How many cars would we have seen if we saw 5 buses? The proportion of vehicles we saw: Bus: 1 in 7 Cars: 6 in 7
