Homework • No more than 1 hour • Reading is required every night • Check planner every night
Report Cards & Progress Reports • Report cards every nine weeks • Progress Reports sent home midway through nine weeks
Grades • A 93-100 • B 85-92 • C 77-84 • D 70-76 • F 69 & below
Library/Media Center We will visit the library every week.
Early Dismissals • A note must be sent the morning of the dismissal • Early dismissals are NOT permitted after 2:00 P.M.
Attendance Policy • Please try to have your child at school everyday. • Please send a note if your child is absent • Your child will have an unexcused absence if there is no note.
Snacks • All snacks must be healthy and will be eaten during break each morning at approximately 11:00 • We will walk around the track each morning according to a S.C. physical activity law • The students must eat their snack while walking • Water schedule—Students can have water bottles at their desk, but we still will have a bathroom break schedule.
Book Orders • Book orders will be sent home periodically

New School Check In System • Greenville County Schools compliance with new state law • Requires all PARENTS/GUARDIANS, VISITORS, VOLUNTEERS, and VENDORS to sign in at the front office • State issued (any U.S. state) photo ID card OR driver’s license is REQUIRED by ALL to sign in • While on campus, a photo bearing nametag MUST be worn • Photo ID”s are cross matched to the National Sex Offender Registry, as required by SC Law. • Be patient as we implement the NEW system in the school office. Allow extra time for check in.

SEEDS “Supporting Early Elementary Development Skills” K – 3rd grades DAY: TIME: • SEEDS volunteers enjoy sharing their love of reading with our students. • SEEDS typically is scheduled for 30 minute sessions once to twice a month. The volunteer selects a book and a lesson plan from the school’s SEEDS library, reads the story to the students, and conducts classroom discussions and activities. • SEEDS VOLUNTEER TRAINING will be held in September in the Oakview cafeteria. The guest trainer is Tom Roe from the Greenville County School District. • If you have any questions, please contact the SEEDS Coordinator Bethann Graham at 297-1924.
