  16. Expense and Benefit • Tuition fee is the double amount of Canadian students’ e.g. 2007/2008 --- $9,227 • Covered by Saskatchewan Health Care • Living options --- university residence, rental, or home stay ($500-$700 per month)

  17. Microsoft Academic Alliance • The Department pays about $800US/year • All the CS students and CS personnel become member • Receive selected Microsoft products for home use • These products may be used in computer labs and classrooms

CL136 Solaris Lab • 20 Sun Ray virtual display clients • CS account environment • Two servers, ssd1 and ssd2, provide graphical access to a Solaris desktop • SunOS 5.9, Solaris 9 • Dual Sparc v9 1GHz, 8 GB RAM • Sun and Gnu C++ tools • Rational Rose CASE tools • Primarily used for 1st year CS classes (CS 110, CS 115) and software engineering class (CS 372) • Access restricted to specific classes. Combination required.
