Current situation • Legal requirement is to have intra-day solution in place from 1st January 2008 • In the CEE Region for: • CEPS – VET • CEPS – SEPS • APG – ELES • solutions are in operation • Other borders (CEPS – E.ON, CEPS – APG) are in preparation • Regulators welcome solutions on the way to a regionally coordinated one

Regulators view • An advanced Intra-day solution should fulfill the following criteria: • Must not have negative effects on operational security • Shall be fully coordinated for the entire region • Shall be fully coordinated/integrated with the operations of the Auction Office in Freising • Take into consideration that cross border capacities are a scarce good and do have a value • Enable market participants to have a transparent and simple overview on available capacities Until achieving such a solution any interim system shall efficiently strive towards these criterias
