Article 2:executive • Powers • Carry out and enforce laws made by congress • Make treaties with foreign nations • Appoint certain gov. officials • Act as commander and chief of armed forces • Veto laws passed by congress
Article 3:Judicial • Supreme court • Needed to decide disputes between state governments and between citizens of 2 or more states. • Also needed for disputes between the national government and a state or citizen • Appointed by the President to serve for life or until they retire. • 2 types of jurisdiction: original jurisdiction and appellate jurisdiction.
