Their characteristics and impact are likely to vary according to the type of entrepreneurs considered (e.g. new firms, corporate entrepreneurs, academic entrepreneurs) and the characteristics of the surrounding institutional environment (e.g. EU old member states vs. new Eastern Europe countries).
Methodology • Comparative analysis - Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden, Portugal and Poland - (and eventually other Eastern Europe countries). • Quantitative research • Qualitative research (in depth case studies). • Integration of quantitative and qualitative research
Relevance To The Objectives Of The Specific Programme • Improve the state-of-the-art on KBE in terms of theory, empirical analyses and methodology • Make progress towards comparative research on KBE for EU members (old and new) • Disseminate reviews of state-of-the-art for research and teaching • Map research competencies in Europe and beyond in the KBE field • Develop policy implications • Look forward to find possible synergies with other projects!
