Preassessment of Teacher Education Candidates (TECs) in these areas: Outcomes: Changes in Practice: • Knowledge about technology integration (TPACK) • Gathering TECS understanding of Universal Design for Learning, serving English language learners, and literacy • Common Core curriculum (CCc) & curriculum development • Understanding of and use of Instructional Strategies (ISLES) • Relative weaknesses/gaps in our graduates’ knowledge & skills • Working with Friday Institute to enhance technology use/integration • Revising/realigning content in teacher education courses • Provide all stakeholders intensive training in CCc & develop curriculum for use in schools • Develop ISLES for use with three levels of TECs • Design & implement modules for use in methods’ courses Using Integrated Assessment To Improve Performance & Retention Of New Secondary Teachers A partnership of Pitt County & Greene County schools, ECU College of Education Teacher Education faculty, ECU Arts & Sciences faculty.
