Customer Service Improvements • Ability to pay for license and receive Tax Certificate at the counter. • A copy of License Renewal/Billing is immediately available upon request. • Business License information available from the Internet. • Ability to apply for Business Licenses from the Internet. • The New Business List can be reviewed/printed from the Internet. Processing Applications By Counter, Mail, Fax and Web
Business License Applications • Walk-in • Customer completes input form and makes payment • Staff enters data in Permit Plan • Prints out form that includes completed application with License Tax Certificate attached • Customer departs having applied, made payment and received certificate October 2001 Tidemark User's Conference
Business License Applications cont. • Mail-in • Customer completes input form received either via the mail or downloaded from the City’s Web page • Customer remits form and payment (check or Credit Card) to the City • Staff enters data, reflects payment and prints out application with License Tax Certificate and mails to customer October 2001 Tidemark User's Conference
Business License Applications cont. • Internet (currently) • Customer completes input form on City Web page and submits application. • Staff reviews transaction, notifies customer (via Email) of acceptance and states that a billing notice will be mailed containing amount due. • Internet (in the Future) • Customer enters payment information by either • Credit card • Check (Electronic funds transfer) • Staff accepts payment, prints out application with certificate and mails to customer October 2001 Tidemark User's Conference

Business License Renewals, Billings and Final Notices • Renewals, Billings and Final Notices are run by Tidemark Batch. • Each Notice contains a Stub to remit with payment, which upon return is input into the system via a Remittance Processor. October 2001 Tidemark User's Conference
