  4. Blank Verse • Unrhymed iambic pentameter • Iamb= meter foot of unstressed , stressed syllables • Pent=5 • Five feet to a line= every line 10 syllables

  5. Lie and Lay • Lie= lie , lay, lain to rest, recline • Lay= lay, lay, laid to put or place something • The problem lies like lead upon me. • I lay the hammer by the workbench.
