REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTIFIED MONTANA DDP SUPPORT BROKERS All requirements for certification as a Support Broker must be met before you will receive certification.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR CERTIFICATION AS A DDP SUPPORT BROKER • Minimum of 18 years of age • Skills and knowledge typically gained by completing coursework, community classes, or workshops in human services.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR MONTANA DDP SUPPORT BROKERS • Two or more years of experience providing paid/unpaid support to persons with Intellectual Disabilities and knowledge of resources in the developmental disabilities field.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR MONTANA DDP SUPPORT BROKERS • Ability to pass a criminal background check. • Completion of Training Required by the Developmental Disabilities Program
QUALIFICATIONS FOR MONTANA DDP SUPPORT BROKERS • Pass the Support Broker Certification Examination with a minimum score of 80 points.
ONLINE TRAINING To receive certification as a Support Broker, you will be required to complete assigned courses in the College of Direct Supports.

College of Direct Supports Courses You may also self-enroll in any of the courses listed in the College of Direct Supports if you have a User ID.

GROUND RULES • Observe Scheduled Timeframes – Begin And End On Schedule • Sign In For Each Morning and Afternoon Session
GROUND RULES • Seats At Tables and Front of Room Are Reserved For Support Broker Trainees • No Additional Seats Will Be Added Once Room Capacity Is Met
GROUND RULES • Keep Distractions To A Minimum • Do Not Obscure Video Screen Or Cameras
GROUND RULES • Hold Up Your Hand To Make A Comment or Ask A Question • Mute Microphones Unless Speaking To The Trainer
GROUND RULES • Identify Your Name and Location When Speaking • Be Brief and Keep Comments To The Subject Being Discussed
GROUND RULES Questions and comments from Support Broker trainees or observers that require lengthy responses may need to be responded to at a later time.
