Reporting To International Advisor • Bring copies of the following: • I-20 • Passport: F-1 visa and picture ID • I-94 – can be retrieved at the following website: • https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html
Maintaining your F-1 Status • You are responsible for maintaining your F-1 status • Obtain PRIOR authorization from PDSO before doing any of the following: • Drop a course • Withdraws from a course • Stop attending a course or courses that would bring you under a full course of study • Maintain full-time enrollment and normal, full-time progress toward your degree • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months into the future
Maintaining your F-1 Status • -Make timely transfers of your F-1 status if you enroll at Concordia after attending another school in the United States. • -Carry a copy of your passport and • I-94 card with you at all times • -Reporting Change of Address
Maintaining your F-1 Status • Once you have completed your studies and any practical training that is authorized, you must leave the U.S. or change to another immigration status within the appropriate time allowed
Travel • Procedures for getting travel endorsement • Carry proof of immigration status at all times • Passport must always be current • Visa renewals
Employment • Availability and procedures for obtaining on-campus employment • Procedures for obtaining a Social Security Card • Never work off-campus without authorization
Banking Needs • Concordia ID • I-20 or DS-2019 • Passport and I-94 • You may be asked for a Social Security Number, but it is not necessary to open an account
