  3. We will: Identify what is meant by America's "Founding Documents" • I will: Re-write the Declaration of Independence in "plain-English"

  4. Images of Principles: Which Founding Principles of America are illustrated in these pictures?

  5. Do these images also violate those principles? Why or Why Not?

  6. Conflicts WILL ALWAYS arise because: • Interpretations will be different • Democracy allows for arguments.

  7. 2nd Amendment: • A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

  8. Current Issues that did not exist with the Founding Fathers: • Drones • Cyber Terrorism • Cell phone Privacy: Who Owns your Tweets? • Founding documents tell us what our basic liberties are. • We have to try to apply those principles to modern life!
