Rhizopods (Amoebas) • Unicellular • Use pseudopodia for movement and to feed • Reproduce asexually through different forms of cell division • Live in freshwater, salt water, and soil
Actinopods (Heliozoans and Radiolarians) • Use a slender version of pseudopodia called axopodia • Most Heliozoans live in fresh water • Most Radiolarians live in salt water heliozoan radiolarian
Foraminiferans • Almost all marine • Named for their porous shells • Pseudopodia extend through pores • Pseudopodia help with swimming, shell formation, and feeding
