  1. Making the Most of Our Opportunities

  2. Make a list of the people you do not think are very important to God • Who are these people? • They are the ones with whom you do not want to make a friendship.

  3. Make a list of the people you do not think are very important to God • “Do not be deceived: no sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, revilers, or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom. Some of you were like this….” 1 Cor. 6:9-11 (HCSB)

  4. Good Ambassadors Have Correct Perceptions (Luke 7:36-51) • Are we thinking about the severity of the person’s sin instead of the need of the sinner? • Do we recognize the severity of our own sin?

  5. Good Ambassadors Have Correct Perceptions (Luke 7:36-51) • Like the woman, do we love much because we have been forgiven much? • Do we neglect the sinner in favor of the morally good, religious person?

  6. Good Ambassadors Have Correct Attitudes • If you asked a friend...what would he/she say? • If a person puts you off or tells you “no,” will maintain the relationship & ask again? • What kind of friends do you look for? • How do you receive those who visit? (Jas. 2:1-5)

  7. Good Ambassadors Know How to Answer • Do not begin in the middle • Do not have the motive of correcting everything they say that is wrong • Do not be arrogant (interrupt & do not listen) • Do not use too many scriptures • Do not give up because they do not want to come to church

  8. Do you need any more friends?
