Inspirations for the Film The Biggest Inspirations for Keith Barry-John were the Cornetto Trilogy, featuring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, which are all directed by Edgar Wright. We took most inspiration from Shaun of the Dead and looked into when filming and were inspire by it. The goal was to make a British style comedy, similar to these three films.
Film Genre and Themes The film covers three main Genres within its short running time. It's main and biggest Genre is Comedy with the two other themes being Horror and Tragedy. All three of these Genre codes are themes within the film.
Why choose this style of film? We believe as a team that Vampire Films are a bit boring and repetitive and thought that going for a more comedic aspect was more outside the box compared to what other people have done and what is popular in the field and decided to look at a vampire hunter and not the vampire itself.

Marketing Strategy The way that this film will be marketed is all based on Social Media and around Social Media Theory. The key theory follows the idea of ‘Peak Times’. The Peak times are between 7pm and 9pm everyday and this is when most people are active on their social media so the idea is to use this to our advantage. We will remain social media based to attract a large and younger audience than if we showed our film/trailers in an independent film festival or created our own premier for the film.

Target Audience and Goals For Keith Barry-John Vampire hunter, we had a set target audience, like any production does. The goal was to Target 16-25 year old's with a key goal of attracting a student fan base. We want to build an audience, a lot like our inspiration and make more comedies and attract more fans to what we make and to stand out from the crowd.
