Why go on residential trips? Young people of all ages benefit from real life ‘hands on’ experiences; when they can see, hear, touch and explore the world around them and have opportunities to experience challenge and adventure. Council for Learning Outside the Classroom
Why go on residential trips? ...these experiences often provide exciting and life enhancing opportunities which are simply not available in the classroom. They help to develop self-esteem, thought for others, listening to others and sharing in what can sometimes be a life changing experience. They are wonderful opportunities to extend children’s learning and enrich their appreciation of themselves, others and the world around them. They can add to the quality of life and can be the catalyst for improved academic achievement or ignite a lifetime interest. North Yorkshire County Council Educational Visits Adviser.
