Some good crime movies to watch "Real crime" covers many areas. At first, you may think of podcasts like Serial or My Favorite Murder, which will study super specific cases in depth. Or maybe I will disappear in the dark - the HBO documentary adapted from the best-selling book - to look for the cold case of the killer known as the Golden State Killer. Badlands (1973) The first crime movie of groundbreaking filmmaker Terrence Malik, about a runaway couple with a huge age gap (Martin Xin's role is 25 years old, while Sissy Pessek's role is 15 years old), is still amazing. This film is based on the real killing carnival of Charles Stackwise and Carly Ann Fugate in 1958. It has all the iconic visual talents of the director and is fascinating from beginning to end. The Bling Ring (2013) This super entertainment crime movie starring Emma Watson is adapted from a series of robberies. These robberies are actually targeted at Hollywood celebrities, such as Paris Hilton (yes, she did appear in the "Golden Ring" in her own identity). These teenagers want to cash in, but
more to become famous (an outlaw in the Old West). Director Sophia Coppola is the best person to undertake this story. The Irishman (2019) Martin Scorsese's latest work is another of his long running mafia/crime movie classics, but it is also his softest film so far; This is a story about an old man who accepted many regrets in his life. According to the true story of the man who claimed to have killed Jimmy Hoffa, the Irish hit him with a fist. Yes, it was a long fist for three and a half hours, but Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Percy and many others took you on this trip. It was worth the time. Scream (1996) You may not have expected it, but scream - perhaps the most iconic crime movie of the past 30 years—— It is based on a series of real murders committed by a killer called Gainesville Ripper in 1990. Make this horrible classic even more terrible. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) Another crime movie you may not realize is based on a true story. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of the original hack movies in many ways. Although it is very loose, it is based on the story of a killer named Ed Gayne,
who wore human skin on his face and killed many people in a house similar to the house in the crime movie. True Story (2015) You may know that Jonah Hill and James Franco are best suited for their comedy work, but these two Oscar nominees acted in a very serious real story in 2015 (yes, this is a real story). Hill played a disgraced reporter of the New York Times magazine named Michael Finkel. Before a killer (Franco) turned himself in, he wanted to clear his name and claimed that his name was Michael Finkel. Adapted from the real Finkel book of the same name. The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020) Aaron Sorkin's film The Trial of the Chicago 7 has a stacked cast, telling the true story of eight men (who became seven during the movie) who were accused of inciting riots at the 1968 Democratic National Congress in Chicago. If you like his work, the cast is very rich, and this crime movie is a typical Sorkin. Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986) Heartbreaking Henry: The portrait of a serial killer is a dark, dark crime movie. Based on the true confession of Henry Lee Lucas, he admitted more
than 600 murders. We don't know if all this is true, but it must be enough to make the crime movie even more creepy. Michael Rooker performed well in this titular role. The Black Dahlia (2006) Black Dahlia tells a (fictional) version of one of the most terrible unsolved murders in American history. At the age of 22, Elizabeth Short was dismembered in Los Angeles in 1947. The film is based on James, the master of crime novels. Ellroy's event version, Brian De Palma's new black crime starring Josh Hartnett, Scarlett Johansson and Aaron Eckhart. Pain and Gain (2013) Pain and gain are Michael Bay's films, but in this special case, it doesn't mean what you think. No, this is not a big action movie full of explosions every five minutes. However, pain and gain is a true story of criminal plan, which will shock you every five minutes or so. According to an article in Miami New Age in 1999, Mark Wallberg, Jushi, Anthony McGee and Tony Salhoub were the main planners of the crime movie. Changeling (2008) This Clint Eastwood crime movie takes Angelina Jolie as a mother to look for her missing son, but is told that her son has been found - and that she is
looking for the wrong boy. The story is somehow, at least loosely, based on a true story.
