Nuts and Bolts • Website is pretty minimal right now, please email for absent work, etc. • kakesson@everettsd.org • I’m available before school, during 2nd lunch, and after school for extra help.
Daily Work • Openers, notes and practice problems done in packet in class • Homework almost every night – worth 4 points and graded on completion. • Late work is accepted for 3 points.
Assessments • Tests are written in AP format: • No calculator multiple choice • Calculator allowed multiple choice • No calculator Free Response • Calculator allowed Free Response • Some problems that are not just like homework
Assessments ALL tests (except the final) can be retaken to show improved understanding. Can earn up to ½ missed points – up to 85% maximum. To retake tests: • students need to have all work complete • Students need to correct mistakes on quiz/ test Schedule retake with me either before or after school or at 2nd lunch

Daily Work • Unit Packet has class work and homework — we are working on the Rigid Motion Unit currently. • Math notebook (spiral) is for class notes. • Late work is accepted.
Assessments Directly show your student’s level of understanding on each of the standards that we will learn this year. Assessments have multiple scores – one for each topic on the assessment. • Level 4: Advanced understanding of concept • Level 3: Proficient understanding of concept • Level 2: Basic understanding of concept, students needs a little help • Level 1: Student is not yet able to demonstrate understanding of concept—NEEDS HELP! • NE: No Evidence, missing, blank.
