Hard Times • Ghana is situated on the southern coast of the West African bulge. • The northern region is one of the least developed areas of the country • The Northern Region is the least densely populated area of Ghana. • The relationship between the various ethnic groups in the Northern Region has not been continuously stable. • More than 70% of the economically active population are agricultural.
