Project Summary The goal of The Indiana Tree Project is to increase planting of hardwood trees in state forests so Indiana can benefit: Environmentally (water, soil, wildlife, air and more) Economically Aesthetically Recreationally The Indiana Tree Project is a 5 year initiative: We want to plant 1 million trees by 2016— Indiana’s bicentennial!

Project Summary The Indiana Tree Project is a joint initiative of: Indiana Natural Resources Foundation Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry Citizens of Indiana Donating a tree costs just $10, and goes toward: - Purchasing tree - Initial maintenance of planting site - Acquiring land - Administration costs - Planting sapling The Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry will plant and manage these sites

TheIndianaTreeProject.org Plant a hardwood tree for a $10 donation Donate in someone’s honor or memory Track your donated tree (to the acre) via coordinates and satellite images Learn the meaning of our mission: Reforest, Restore, Renew See how each donation impacts Air Water Soil Wildlife Economy Connect with others who are excited about this initiative Follow our progress

    13. How we will spread the word (Year 1) Radio and TV PSA’s Promotional emails Facebook and Twitter Promotional materials at state parks Targeted outreach to those who use our forests and parks And especially: networking with groups like yours who have a passion for Indiana’s forests

    14. Sponsors and Acre Donations We are actively seeking corporate or organizational sponsors and partners A unique product Strong projected growth Donations of an acre or more Memorial plaque Unique planting and/or dedication events
