How this works • There are 3 challenges. • We will complete all three challenges today • At times you will work individually • At times you will work with partner(s) • Use maps to answer questions • Record your answers in complete sentences on the paper provided. • Work with your assigned partner(s) at your assigned station. • Follow all directions.

To begin our mapping lab lets start with making a mental map. In the box provide in your packet draw Africa include everything mentioned in your directions. You have 10 minutes to complete this activity! http://www.online-stopwatch.com/

Challenges #3 • For these challenges we will be with a partner(s) and you will be required to move around the room. • You must be work with your assigned partner(s) to complete the tasks given. • When talking with your partner(s) use an appropriate level of voice so everyone can hear their own partner(s) and not your voice. (Level One) • Stay at your assigned area. When you leave the area to see me stay focused and do not bother other groups. When you leave go directly back to your map station.
Challenges #3 • For each challenge you will be required to use maps to answer questions. • write your answer in a complete sentence! • Underline or highlight the answer in the sentence. • When you have answered the question come up to Mr. McWilliams. I will check your answer. • If correct you will receive a new question to answer. • If incorrect you will receive a check mark and told to try again. • We will practice one together.
