  2. Warm Up With a partner, make a list of words you find difficult to pronounce in English.

  3. Some Difficulties… • “th” sound: /ɵ/ and /ð/ • /r/ and /h/ • Final Nasals: /m/ /n/ /ŋ/ • Final “ed” • The Schwa Sound /Ə/

  5. The final nasal sound • The sound of m as in “my” • Aim- come-Rome-them-some-Tom • The sound n as in “no” • Sun-fine-Jane-again-insane-green • The “n” followed by “k” or “g” • Son-sung-sunk • Ran-rang-rank

  6. Final “ed” What is the correct way to say these verbs? Match them to the correct pronunciation of ed endings: /id/ /d/ /t/

Look through your Monster Book and see what activities you could use or possibly adapt for the classroom.
