Mini-Lecture Blitzkrieg:Means Lightening War: Fast-paced style of fighting. Coordination of air force, tanks, troops and artillery in a small, narrow area. Blitzkrieg tactics allowed Hitler to conquer most of Europe early in World War II.

Finally….. Great Britain and France declare war on Germany on September the 3rd 1939, 2 days after the invasion of Poland.
Miracle at Dunkirk British/French troops trapped on a beach await rescue. British Navy saves 330,000 troops/ evacuate to England. The troops that were saved would be used to invade and liberate France during D-DAY (1944).
