  2. Loyalty Review Board - An effort by President Truman to find communists within the American government because of the increasing conformist fear - Truman established the Loyalty Review Board to help find communism within American politics

  3. Truman's Administration - Throughout Truman’s administration, there were multiple threats of communism spreading throughout the world and even throughout the United States’ government

  4. The McCarran Act - Was a United States federal law that required Communist organizations to register with the United States Attorney General and established the Subversive Activities Control Board

  5. Subversive Activities Control Board - Were to investigate persons suspected of engaging in subversive activities or otherwise promoting the establishment of a "totalitarian dictatorship," fascist or communist

  6. Internal Security - Both the Loyalty Review Board and The McCarran Act were established to develop a sense of internal security within the U.S. and the United States government to protect against communism
