  3. First Martyr Saint Stephen Means: The crowned

  4. Who is Saint Stephen? • He was one of the seven deacons who were filled with the holy spirit. • He served the poor and the needy and distributed gifts and alms among them. • He also preached in the church and converted non-Christians. The number of nonbelievers increased.

  5. One day a large number of Jews met. They discussed religious matter with Stephen. He answered them using verses from the Scriptures explaining to them that Christ is the only Savior through whom we can enter heaven. • Were they HAPPY ?

  6. They took him away to the Synagogue to judge him. - What is your name? + I am Christian. - Do not mention this name + I love Christ - We shall kill you. + I do not fear death... If we live we live to the Lord. - We crucified Christ. + You crucified him and he was buried. He stayed in the grave for three days; but then he rose and ascended to heaven and I am going to him.

  7. “Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God” ,“Lord, do not charge them with this sin”.

  8. Can we be Martyrs nowadays ?  We have to always forgive people who insult us or hurt us. This is the way for us to go to heaven.  If anyone insults you, what do you say? “May the Lord forgive you”  If a person asks you about your religion, what do you say?

  9. Verse of today “Lord do not charge them with this sin”. Acts 7:60
