What is a Postcard • a postcard for sending a message by mail without an envelope, typically having a photograph or other illustration on one side
What is the Difference between a Letter and a Postcard • The letter has envelope, the postcard hasn’t. • you don’t have to open a postcard. The message is right there on the front. • The address on the letter placed on the top left of the envelope, However, the address in the postcard are placed on the right side.
How to Write a Postcard • Have the address of who you're going to send the postcard to. • Write the address of the person you're sending it to on the right hand side, where the postcard might have lines for you to write the address.
How to Write a Postcard • Above the address you should place the stamp. • Write your message on the left hand side of the postcard. This is usually separated with a line.
Your Project • The students will create a postcard to send it to the Annemarie, pretending that they are Ellen Rosen describing to her best friend how she is living in Sweden. • On the back of the postcard, students will drew characters, samples, and items that they think it is related to the story.
