What is WebQuest? • A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web. • WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity that optionally supplemented with videoconferencing. There are at least two levels of WebQuests that should be distinguished from one another.

  3. Why Use a WebQuest? • Justify the cost of placing computers in classrooms • Administrators and parents are concerned about students' unguided use of the Internet. • Is it really worth the costs? • Is it really necessary? • Effective use of the Internet in the classroom.
