Information on morocco • Population- 32.52 million people • Area- 172,414 (sq miles) • The capital of Morocco is Rabat. • Arabic is the official language but the Moroccan dialect of it is Derija. • Religion- about 99% of population is Muslim.
Traditions • Green tea with mint is a Moroccan tradition of hospitality • In the last month of the Islamic calendar Moroccan people celebrate EidAl Adha • South of Marrakeshis where traders from distant region come and sell works of art, rugs, blankets, etc. • Traditionally, lunch is the biggest meal of the day and it occurs between noon to 3 pm with a nap following. • Visitors and locals enjoy bargaining with the merchants over small or large things.
