  2. solar energy could be radiant and light energy. Also, it could be electrical energy because we are providing electricity by solar panels. it is also thermal energy because its giving heat from the sun. solar Energy is a renewable source because it isn't made of fossil fuels and its also made naturally. Also we will never run out of solar energy because the sun is always there. We have 2 different choices of where our company would be. First, is in Cumbaya because there's a lot of sun. Also, we could do it on Quito in la mitad del mundo because it is one of the most sunniest places in Quito and its near the city so it could light it up. Solar energy, what it is?

History of solar energy • Greeks and Romans used solar energy to heat water and buildings (warm their homes) • In 211 BC Archimedes used solar energy to avoid the Roman Navy attacking them. • Horace Benedict de Sassure created the first solar panel in 1767. He made a box with 3 layers that absorbed heat and energy. It could reach 230 degrees Fahrenheit • Edmond Becquerel made a major discover in 1839. He discovered that when you joined two electrons, an electrode was formed. This made light increase so as a result electricity was improved. • In 1941 Russell Ohl invented a silicon solar cell. It was glass window that allowed light to come into a room. • In 1958 Solar Energy was first used in the space to power things such as satellites and space stations. • In 1970 Exxon designed a solar panel which was less costly to produce and because of its quality it made a huge change in the history of solar energy. • In 1981 an aircraft which had solar panel was invented. It flew from France to England. • In 2012 the biggest solar power plant is created in Golmud Solar Park in China.

  4. How solar energy is used today? • Solar energy is used all over the world in different aspects which are: • Photovoltaic cells: these are devices which can sense solar energy. Examples of photovoltaic cells are in calculators, watches, etc. • Active solar energy: these are systems that use mirrors and metal things to capture the solar energy. This system is often used to heat water. Also it could give space heating in buildings. • Passive solar energy: systems that use windows, walls, floors and roofs to get solar energy. • Also it exists things like concentrated solar power systems which are different systems that use objects in order to reach and temperature and create solar energy.

  5. Recovered Harnessed • Solar Energy could also be recovered. It is recovered by solar panels. This is recovered because this panels are attracting energy from the sun to produce energy to the different things in people daily life's. • solar energy could be harnessed in 3 main ways: • One of them is by photovoltaic cells that is when the solar energy is converted into electricity. • The second way is by solar thermal technology that is when heat from the sun is released in order to make water hot. • The third way is by passive solar heating that is when the sun shines through windows. How is our source recovered and harnessed?

Stored Released • Solar energy is stored in things like: • batteries like lead-acid or glass mat • capacitors. • Now days its easier to have battery technology at your own houses • It could also get stored in solar panels. • Solar energy gets released from the sun and it gets distributed through the different aspects. How is the energy stored and released?

Pros Cons • Solar panels give off no pollution, the only pollution produced is of the materials. • The production is really quiet. • You can get energy even in remote places. • It can produce energy even for small towns. • Solar panels can be installed on top of many rooftops, • The cost at the beginning is really high but you never need to spend money for electricity. • The use of solar energy to produce electricity allows the user to become less dependent on the worlds fossil fuel supplies. • The major con is that the cost is really high and the maintenance is also really high. • Also solar energy can only produce energy in the day because at night there is no moon. • The weather can affect the efficiency of solar cells. • Some times the materials of the solar panels give a lot of pollution Pros and cons of solar energy

  8. Economic environmental • Solar energy helps in many economic aspects. • First, by using it you save money that you will use for fossil fuels. Instead you will take it on solar panels which don't produce oil spills like it happens with fossil fuels. • Also it its a one time payment and after it you will only pay for the maintains of the solar panel which is not much money. • Solar energy helps the environment in various ways. • First, it helps the environment because we aren't taking any resources from the earth • It is natural • it helps nature by different process.   9. Future: the future of this energy source is really good. First, once you have invested in it you don't need to pay for the energy each month, you instead will use natural energy from the sun and just pay the maintained of your solar panels. Also this energy will benefit everyone because it is accessible once you have been provide solar panels. It will also help nature and the environment. • Interesting facts: • Its one of the only sources that we have for free. • The largest solar power plant is on the Mojave desert in California. • Space missions have used solar energy since 1958 Future and interesting facts about solar energy

  10. 1.  Why is it even necessary for a business to be offering your energy resource at this time? We can offer this because Ecuador is passing through a rough time and by having solar energy we could solve many problems. Also, since Ecuador has a lot of sun, we have to get advantage of this.2.  How will your energy source fulfill Ecuador’s future energy needs? Our energy source will fulfill this needs by providing electricity at each home and being sure all people are getting their needed resources.3.  Why should your company be chosen over other businesses that utilize different energy sources? Our company would be chosen over other energy sources because it is much better than other types of energy and because Ecuador has a lot of sun we will never run out of this energy! Also because its renewable and it doesn't create pollution so its an excellent choice. Why our company is the best?
