  2. President • Michael Evans QC has taken over the responsibilities of Choir President from October 2008. Michael has always enjoyed music and openly admits he started singing to meet as many girls as he could. Now happily married to Valerie, they have five children and fourteen grandchildren, the youngest of his daughters being educated at Gowerton School.

  3. Dunvant Male Choir • Dunvant Male Choir enjoys the distinction of being one of the oldest continuous serving choirs in Wales. It was formed in 1895 by a group of miners, steelworkers. It was initially called the Ebenezer Excelsior Male Voice Choir, but as its membership grew, its name was shortened to the current Dunvant Male Choir.

  4. Choir Philosophy Choir Philosophy • The Dunvant Male Choir pursues the philosophy that music, above all else, is a communicable happiness that expresses emotion and feelings. The singing like all Welsh choirs excels with adrenaline flowing free.

  5. Where Is Dunvant ? Where Is Dunvant ? • Dunvant is a small village situated some five miles west of Swansea on the South coast of Wales. In spite of its size it has boasted one of the finest choirs and one of the finest rugby clubs in Wales.
