The CenterPoint Energy AMS Network supports a combination of Point to Point (SMT to ESI) and Multicast (SMT to ESIs) communication models based on functionality Meters support ZigBee Smart Energy v1.0 Meter Hardware/Firmware Level 2.0 /3.0 (Future) Application functionalities supported include: Provisioning /De-provisioning Multicast Messaging – supports up to a 56 character message – regardless of device characteristics Multicast Load control: direct and through thermostat adjustment – SMT to device end to end (includes setting events and cancelling all or selected Load Control Events) Multicast Pricing via Text Messaging – via a Display message by ROR Group Price – supporting start time and duration attributes Example: Price: $0.12/KWh from 24/20/10 17:43 to 24/20/10 17:53 (54 characters) Device Support CenterPoint Energy continues to conduct end to end interoperability testing through the SMT with multiple HAN devices (ZigBee Fest Texas participation) CEHE HAN Functionality Available as of June 1, 2010
