ACT DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING 2006 SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT SURVEY • Students with special needs • This modified questionnaire • ·is for students with special needs and has been designed to ensure that they have a voice in • school self assessment; • ·is intended to provide information that is additional to the systemic survey. • Information and instructions: • Boardmaker symbols have been used to develop the questionnaire as a PowerPoint presentation with one question per slide. • The teacher reads the question and asks the student to point to the Yes or No symbols to answer. This is suitable to be used on an interactive whiteboard. • The first two questions are examples only. The placement of the Yes and No symbols are random to assist the teacher to check that the student understands the question and the answer process. • Note that slide number 10 is for Turner Primary School and other schools can skip this slide.
