  1. The Fairland ES PTA Needs You! The time has come to elect PTA officers and committee chairpersons for 2010-2011 at our May Meeting (Please see other side of flier for the meeting details). We have several critical positions that are vacant for next year: VP of Administration(to succeed the current President for 2011-2012) VP of Programming(to assist with scheduling the rooms for PTA events) Treasurer(to track the money and disburse checks) Recording Secretary (to take meeting minutes) Scholastic Book Fair Chairperson(s) (to organize and operate (2) book fairs) Cultural Arts Co-Chair (to assist with sponsoring programs and assemblies) Major Fundraiser Chairperson(to organize a large fundraiser) Email List Chairperson(to send out PTA emails) Student Directory Chairperson (to coordinate the publishing of the directory) So if you’ve considered joining the PTA, now is the time. PTA Meeting Announcement You are cordially invited to attend the May 2010 PTA meeting When: Tuesday, May 4, 2010 Where: School Media Center Time: 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm (informal meet and greet session with free light refreshments) This meeting will focus on the PTA elections. Business Meeting: 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm Free Childcare – complete with games, crafts and other children’s activities will be available for potty-trained children in the instrumental music room during the PTA meeting. We need you as a member of the Fairland PTA! As parents of Fairland ES children, you fund PTA activities every time you spend money on one of our PTA fundraisers.
