Subjects • Introduction • Existing data • Combining point and area data • Generating a two layer soil model • Generating soil attributes • Conclusion Mogens Humlekrog Greve
Introduction, the aim The aim of the project is to establish a nationwide geographical database containing information on top- and subsoil of basic soil parameters in a scale of 1:50 000
Introduction – method The database will be constructed by combining a number of existing maps with large number of point data. Mogens Humlekrog Greve
Existing data, Topsoil point data
Existing data, Subsoil map Geological soiltype 1:50000 evaluatede in 1 meters dept
Generating a two layer soil model Eight soil types 40 000 point Topsoil 30 cm Subsoil Thirteen geological soiltypes and 2000 soil profiles
Conclusion,1 Minimizing the within class variance
Conclusion,2 Cartographical difficulties
Conclusion,3 We continue to work with system
