Network Council The purpose of the Network Council is to empower, inform, and celebrate students, parents, families, and the community. We use various methods to accomplish our purpose. For example, we use a communication system called TELEPARENT to inform parents about important information and upcoming events pertaining to our school.
Network Council Responsibilities It is the expectation that every member of this council be involved in meaningful planning and implementation of events Continually throughout the school year. It is up to each Subcommittee to take on additional/multiple tasks and report briefly each council meeting. Subcommittees may request assistance from other members/subcommittees.
Meetings Network Council meetings are held two Tuesdays a month. Please refer to Network’s agenda for upcoming meetings.
1 hour Meeting In order to keep the meeting as productive as possible the following is expected: • Show up for an hour • Contribute your time and effort • No side conversations • Respect everyone’s input • Have a solution based mindset • Stay on topic • Be mindful of the time while providing input • Hold each other accountable
Voting Guidelines The council will make strides to come to a consensus. When a consensus cannot be reached two thirds vote will be considered as approve. ***************************************** Any non-members who attend the meeting will get a chance to give their input however, voting is reserved for members only. Plan of Action Did you know that flyers had to be approved by Maureen Clarke? Did you know that dates and times for every event had to be approved by Maureen Clarke? Once the event is approved, log the day and time of the event in the calendar binder in Maureen Clarke’s office. Did you know that flyers had to be distributed to the students and parents 7 Days before the event. Did you know that Mrs. Rojas the office manager conducts the TELEPARENT messages? Did you know once the flyer is approved by Maureen Clarke you must also let Mrs. Rojas the office manager know about your event so she can send a TELEPARENT message out to the parents and families? Did you know Network members are expected to contribute their time and effort in order to accomplish every task. Did you know it is a good idea to make posters and post them around the school? Did you know that members must attend 13-14 meetings in order to be eligible for the full reimbursement.
Committee Officers Rotating Facilitator-Keeps the meeting running Productively (use Robert’s Rule of Order) Timekeeper-agenda setting, allocates time to each agenda item, and keeps members aware of the time. Record Keeper-writes the minutes and post the minutes in the office by the sign in cards seventy-two hours after the meeting. Subcommittee managers disseminate information to the grade level coordinators, allocate jobs to each member of the sub-committee.

Social Committee Duties Finalize menu Center pieces Dj for event Raffle tickets and prizes that need to be purchase for event • Ordering the cake and coffee for event • Collecting money for celebrations 4.
