What is Engineering? What isComputer Science? Applied Mathematics Speak the language of Mathematics . . . Your Engineering and Computer Science problems will not be difficult.
Learning Requires . . . . Repetition, discussion, practice • Create a study group • Make sure everyone in the group can do everything • Never put your name on something that you did not do • Attend instructor office hours / Go to Help Desks • Introduce yourself and talk about the course • If you don't have a question, just come and listen • Do homework that is assigned • Make sure you can do anything (not just the questions that were on the assignment.)
Studying & Time Management • Plan your week • Schedule time for every course • Don't delay things that are difficult • Plan for the unexpected • After everything is done: Schedule in a little (not a lot of) fun time
Choices in Your Program? • You are registered in 5 or 6 classes • You are planning on doing well • You can't seem to get everything done • You don't want to fail or get bad marks • But you are afraid you might? Other course schedules are possible • See your program advisor:- Jane Guy (Bachelor of Science - Computer Science) - LeAnneGolinsky (Bachelor of Engineering & Bachelor of Software Engineering programs)
