Cinema on Demand Direct rent to theaters RAIN Networks in Brazil • About RAIN BRASIL We combine various screens into a single network, which currently reaches a segmented, qualified, and influential audience in Brazil. Our business is based on three pillars: distribution of digital content to promote independent art film, sales of advertising for a high-level target, installation of Digital Signage displays and sale of media in Digital Signage

  16. Saturday, October 10, 2009 Coming Soon to a Theater Near You, If You Demand It If you have not yet heard of the horror movie “Paranormal Activity,” you will soon. It is about to become the first major studio film to be released nationwide as the result of online requests from the public. From there, it has become a Web sensation, with chatter about the movie bouncing from Twitter to Facebook, spurring an upcoming nationwide release. The company behind the viral buzz is Eventful, a venture-backed start-up in San Diego hired by Paramount Pictures, the movie’s producer. Eventful provides a service that lets performers ask their fans where they should appear. For between $30,000 and $250,000, Eventful builds and hosts a Web page where people can vote by clicking on a button that says “Demand it!” Paramount promised to release “Paranormal Activity” in cities where enough people demanded it and nationwide if a million people demanded it. As of Friday night, it was close, with 960,000 demands.

  17. NEW TECHNOLOGIES

  18. WHAT IS VOD?

  19. VOD = Video On Demand VOD is the possibility to choose what film you want, when you want it and on what device you want to watch it

  20. WHAT IS DOD?

  21. Long tail & narrowcast. From the physical stores limitations to global narrowcasting

  22. What is Crowdfunding/Crowdsourcing?

  23. A note to site visitors We reached our original goal of $75,000 back in March, and Jill's Next Record is in progress (actually nearing completion). Thanks to everyone who contributed!

  24. $10 - Unpolished Rock (but with potential) Level: A free digital download of the album, when it's released. • $25 - Polished Rock Level: An advance copy of the CD. Weeks before the masses. • $50 - Pewter Level: An advance copy and a "Thank You" on the CD. • $100 - Copper Level: All the above, plus a T-shirt saying you're a junior executive producer on the album.

  25. $200 - Bronze Level: Free admission to my shows for 2008. • $250 - Silver Level: All the above, plus a membership to the "Secret Society Producer's Club," which means you'll get a secret password to a website where I'll post some rough tracks, or... something worthwhile. • $500 - Gold Level: This is where it gets good! At the end of my CD, I'll do a fun instrumental track where I'll mention your name and maybe rhyme with it. And if you don't want your name used, you can give me a loved one's instead. What a great gift!

  26. $750 - Gold Doubloons Level: Exactly like the gold level, but you give me more money. • $1,000 - Platinum Level: How would you like to have a theme song written for you? I'll have a song you can put on your answering machine and show off. Again, this could be a gift • $2,500 - Emerald Level: Mentioned as an executive producer of the album -- whoop-di-doo!

  27. $5,000 — Diamond Level: I will come and do a house concert for you. Invite your friends, serve some drinks, bring me out and I sing. Actually, this level is a smart choice economically. I've played many house concerts where the host has charged his guests and made his money back. I'd go for this if I were you. • $10,000 - Weapons-Grade Plutonium Level: You get to come and sing on my CD. Don't worry if you can't sing - we can fix that on our end. Also, you can always play the cowbell.

  28. CNN October 19 2008 Obama sets record for online donations For the month of September Barack Obama has collected more than 150 million US dollar online. This is more than double the record set in August by Obama The average online contribution in September was just under 100 US dollars

  29. CROWD FUNDING In her quest to change the world, Franny Armstrong has already changed how films can be funded. She designed an innovative "crowd-funding" strategy that has raised over $1 million dollars--£590,000 for the production and distribution of her new feature THE AGE OF STUPID and £164,321 for the Not Stupid social action campaign. A documentary/fiction hybrid, THE AGE OF STUPID is set in the "devastated world of 2055," where a lone archivist (played by Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite) views footage from 2008 and asks "why we didn't stop climate change when we had the chance."
