If you are a user of Xerox Printer and you are getting an error of paper jam, although there is no paper stuck in the machine, then you need to fix the problem immediately. It may be possible due to the presence of any dust particle inside the machine. To clear this error, follow the given steps:

  3. Turn off your printer if it is turned on. Now, unplug it from the socket to avoid any mishappening. Remove the top cover or the front cover and be cautious if the internal parts are hot. Wait for few minutes to let them cool. • Use a torch to see the inner workings of the Xerox Printer. Notice a long cylindrical rubber object or a rod linked to it. These rubbers are the rollers that help the machine to feed papers.

If rollers are not visible, turn the paper upside down, open the side panel and with the help of manual remove them. • If the rollers are broken, refer to the manual or contact the manufacturer to confirm if they are replaceable. • If there is no paper inside the machine but still your printer is showing an error of “Paper Jam” then there may be some blockage inside the machine. Check inside the machine if there are foreign particles present in it. 

  5. Dust and stuck debris may cause the paper jam so clean them with the soft cloth which is also lint-free. • Also, clean the rollers from each and every side and corner.  • Check other parts of the printer for debris. If you found any, clean them properly.
