  2. This is the map of Queensland, it shows you where the Gold Coast is. It is near Brisbane. Ships sailed from England to Australia in 1788.

  3. History of Aboriginal Culture in the Gold Coast Aboriginal people lived in the Gold Coast 23,000 years ago. And they were hunting kangaroo and fishing and gathering plants and berries. I have Aboriginal and Irish ancestry. My father & his mothers side of his family are from Frazer Island, north of Brisbane. Aboriginal people lived here before white people came from England

  4. Queensland Coat of Arms, State badge and emblems This is the Queensland Coat of Arms. The red deer and the brolga appear on the Coat of Arms. The picture with the crown in the middle is the State Badge. < This is the State Badge This is the State Flag> The koala was officially named the animal emblem of Queensland.

  5. Queensland emblems This is Queensland’s floral emblem, it is a Cooktown Orchid. The Brolga is on the Queensland Coat of Arms. The State gem is the sapphire.

  6. Queensland Government & very interesting fact The Premier of Queensland is Mr Campbell Newman The Liberal National Party is in Government in Queensland. The G20 will be held in Queensland in 2014. What is the G20? It means that it is 20 of the most richest and powerful countries in the world. The leaders meet to discuss many issues

She departed at Sydney on the 18th of October 2009, she returned to Sydney 15th of May 2010. on January 25th 2011 she was named the 2011 Australian of the year. In 2012 she was named the 2012 youngster of the year.

  11. You can fly to the Gold Coast with… Planes like Qantas, Jetstar & Virgin. Sometimes for under $100.
