  1. An Introduction to IcFEM

  2. IcFEM IcFEM stands for Interchristian Fellowships’ Evangelical Mission. IcFEM is an indigenous Kenyan organisation based in Kimilili, Western Kenya with a mission of smooth integration of community development, evangelism and innovative provision of holistic care. IcFEM aims at building people, especially in rural areas, both spiritually and practically to become self-supporting.

  3. Transformation The aim of IcFEM is to accelerate transformation in rural communities. Evangelism is at the heart of everything IcFEM does as IcFEM’s vision is “God with People and Development”. As well as Evangelism IcFEM has 11 other line ministries that support village fellowships in taking responsibility for transforming their own communities with God’s help. The line ministries are: God with People & Development

  4. Line Ministries

  5. Organisation IcFEM has spent much time developing and revising the structure and organisation of the mission. IcFEM relies on the grace of God for its success and aims to ensure God is at the centre of all things. IcFEM has their Head Quarters in Kimilili where the executive and management boards are based along with IcFEM Staff. They all work closely with their line ministries and the Local Transformation Unit leaders. These leaders work with a board of up to 100 volunteers who work with the village fellowships.

  6. Structure

  7. Map IcFEM is expanding all the time as new Local Transformation Units are formed. IcFEM is currently working with local units stretching from the Rift Valley in the East to the Ugandan boarder in the West.

  8. Dreamland Medical Care Centre IcFEM runs its own mission hospital which serves the local community and is a base for medical outreach clinics to the most hard to get to places in Western Kenya. The hospital works in unison with the Bethesda Pool and Health line ministries to train local units in basic health care and first aid. God with People & Development

  9. Dreamland Education Centre On the same site as DMCC is Dreamland Education Centre which is the mission’s primary school providing high quality education for the local community. The education line ministry also works with schools and colleges across Western Kenya to help improve education. IcFEM partners with other education organisations to help communities build and run schools.

  10. The Gap Programme The Gap programme runs to enable Volunteers to visit IcFEM and engage with the communities and people IcFEM serves. It is a great way to make new friends, make a difference and learn about a new culture.

  11. Student Sponsorship One way IcFEM helps improve the level of education in the communities is through sponsoring pupils through their secondary education. This is done through linking donors to students. The scheme has run successfully for many years, some of the previous sponsored students now work for IcFEM and are giving back to their communities.

  12. Sponsor a Village IcFEM will soon be launching it’s sponsor a village scheme which will connect sponsors with the work of IcFEM in helping accelerate community transformation. God with People & Development

  13. Testimonies IcFEM has been working with rural communities for over 20 years Their work has helped communities practically and spiritually which has made a big difference to village life. The communities are quickly learning and understanding the vision of IcFEM and are seeing the impact God is having through IcFEM in their lives. Here are just a few testimonies we received last week: God with People & Development

  14. Testimony Name: Moses S. S. Wasilwa Local Transformation Unit: Sikhendu Village: Matisi Fellowship: Matisi A Through the influence of IcFEM, My marital life has greatly improved, because initially my wife and I had been staying as neighbours but these days we are in harmony. At the same time IcFEM lightened us to give God cheerfully, I and my wife agreed to give God one acre to build the Unit hospital. Miraculously God has enabled us to buy cheaply fifteen acres recently. So IcFEM is a blessing to my family.

  15. Testimony Name: Vincent Wanda Local Transformation Unit: Sikhendu Village: Chalicha Fellowship: Namusole The advent of IcFEM has witnessed a series of changes in my community as follows: Many of the children in the community are attending schools opposed to previously. Secondly the education I’ve received so far has built me and my family spiritually, economically and socially. The community members have started being self reliant and minding the welfare of less advantaged community members. The quality of education has tremendously improved.

  16. Testimony Name: Catherine Similu Local Transformation Unit: Sikhendu Village: Khanylili Fellowship: Khanylili Am very glad now that I thank God for what he has done to me through this IcFEM because actually I have been transformed. Now that I know God well my family has improved academically through him and also shown me all ways of generating income to improve my daily needs. Now am looking for a promised successful future through this mission. And I also hope and believe the village will be transformed through me.

  17. Thank You for Listening IcFEM is excited at the endless potential of what God is able to do in transforming communities. IcFEM looks forward to seeing what God has in store next as IcFEM continues its adventure with God, people and development. Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Thank you for taking an Interest in IcFEM God Bless
