AsperStatisticsCanada, between October2018andOctober2019, Canadamade443,000new openings. Thesurveydemonstratedthatthe nationalbusiness/employment ratestayedunfalteringat5.5%. Newfoundland and Labrador made2,700newjobopeningsinOctober. Theunemploymentrateandworklevelremainedgenerallyconsistentina largeportionoftheareasofCanada. Employmentrisesforworkersmorethan55. Thenumberofoccupationsforlaborersmorethan55yearsincreasedby 31,000. Theunemploymentrateamongsuchspecialistsdroppedby0.2% to4.7%.
