3. We chose this voicemail for Daisy because she never stopped loving Gatsby while she was with Tom. Although she knew that she would be lying to herself if she said she did not love Tom. In the end, Daisy ended up choosing Tom because he made clean, old money.

4. We chose to use this voicemail from Nick because he had been trying to get a hold of Gatsby all afternoon. When Nick found out the line was only accepting calls from Detroit it puzzled him. Gatsby knew that both Nick and Daisy were going to be getting a hold of him.

5. We chose to use this voicemail for Wolfsheim because he was business partners with Gatsby. He made Gatsby who he was. Everything about the relationship was sort of odd and mysterious. Just like this message.

6. We chose this voicemail for Jordan because she was relaying her message to him. Gatsby had pulled Jordan aside at on of his parties to ask her a favor. He wanted Jordan to talk to Nick about having his cousin, Daisy, over. Jordans message was telling Gatsby that she had done what he had asked.

10. We chose “ We Are Young” by Fun for Gatsby's ring back tone. We chose this song because Gatsby is trying to keep his story straight about who he is. Like in the song when it says “ give me a second I need to get my story straight.” It describes Gatsby pretty well. Also in the song it says “my lover is waiting for me just across the bar, my seats been taken by some sunglasses asking about a scar.” This part of the song reminds us of Gatsby living across the Bay from Daisy and Tom taking Gatsby's place as her lover.
