Best Forex Market Maker Brokers 2023 In Forex trading there are different types of brokers which you can work with and make your trades. They all offer the same service; a space to make your trades at, but different types of brokers offers different specifications of the service, including fees and execution. We have already written about STP and ECN brokers which are sometimes both used by the same broker, today we will discuss the Money Maker form of brokerage. Market Makers do not offer their clients direct access to the Market rather they quote prices, which are similar to what the market displays, therefore ‘making’ the price. They receive a spread from the Interbank Market and they can change the price on their spreads. Unlike dealing desk brokers like STP and ECN the market belongs to them, so you buy and sell from the company itself and not the actual Forex market. Orders done through a Market Maker are processed internally and do not go out to the Market. Therefore the profits you make are straight out of the company itself, and the money you lose goes straight back to them, therefore your loss is literally their gain.
This is the main reason that plants skepticism in a trader’s mind when dealing with a Market Maker knowing that their wins are directly related to the company losing money. Some dealers have played tricks on their clients, including changing spread prices drastically, freezing a trader’s platform during big market changes, and intervening in winning clients’ trades, to assure they do not make more money. Probably the reason behind the statistic that 95 percent of traders who trade with a Money Maker lose. However a lot of those loses are mainly due to the fact that Forex trading is highly risky and susceptible to loss. The positive aspects of Market Makers are that they have quick execution and much lower minimum deposit requirements with high leverage. Many people would like to start trading but cannot afford the funds required to start that act, but with Market Makers prices are much cheaper and reachable for most. Another thing Market Makers are known for is they depend on “easy to use” platforms. Of course to many dealing with Market Makers works greatly and they have great trading experiences, while other prefer working with STP and ECN companies. In order for you to choose the right broker, and the right way of trading for yourself, it is important that you make sure you understand all the options you have, and then decide and start trading.
