トムくんの あしは くろいろです。 • トム(tomu) Tom • くん(kun) Mr for younger guys • あし (ashi) legs • 〜は(wa)〜です(desu) ~ is • くろいろ (ku ro i ro) black colour Can you translate the title now?
は(wa)です(desu) /~is ~. • If you want to describe body parts’ colours or shape in Japanese. You can use the above expression. Add body parts before は(wa) and colour before です(desu)
Let’s practice Can you say the arm is brown in Japanese? *ちゃいろ (cha i ro) Can you say the head is big in Japanese? *あたま(atama/head) おおきい(ooki)
The answer is あしはちゃいろです a shi wa cha i ro de su あたまは おおきいです a ta ma wa o o ki i de su
My • の(no) is a very handy word. • の means “of” • So if you want to say my, you simply say わたし(watashi) and add の(no). • わたしの(watashino) = my
Someone’s • If you want to say Sarah’s nose. • Say サラ(Sara) and の(no). After サラの(sara’s), add the word nose which is はな(hana/nose) サラのはな (sa ra no ha na) It means Sarah’s nose.
Let’s practice • め(me) means eyes. Can you say Tom’s eyes in Japanese? *トム(tomu/Tom) + の(no) + め(me/eyes) =トムのめ
