2. . הזית נמנה עם שבעת המינים שנתברכה בהם א"י והוא אחד משלשת הגידולים אשר היוו את היסוד בכלכלת הארץ. • בתערוכה מוצגים חפצים מסורתיים הממחישים את תהליך הפקת השמן, השימושים הרבים שהיו לזית, משמן למאכל ועד לתעשיית הסבונים. מוצגים כלים ביתיים לאחסון השמן, מנורות שמן ועוד. • The olive tree is one of the seven kindsand one of the three main crops in Israel economy over the years. • In the exhibit there are traditional items that demonstrate the procedure of manufacturing the olive oil and its different uses: oil for eating ,oil for the soap industry etc. • In the Museum there are traditional tools for the oil storage , oil lamps and more.

12. מגוון מפעילויות הזית בגן "פרפר"Different activities with olives in “Parpar’ kindergarten • איסוף זיתים ומיונם לזיתים שחורים • Collecting black and green olives and categorizing them • כתישת זיתים במכתש ועלי, • Smashing the olives with pestle and mortar • בדיקת השומניות שבזית, • Checking the oil fatness • הילדים הביאו מביתם מוצרים הקשורים בזית כמו:זיתים כבושים, זיתים לאכילה,שמן זית,סבונים ,קרם גוף,מכתש ועלי העשויים מעץ הזית ועוד. • The children brought olive oil products from their home like: olive oil, soaps, body lotion and pestle and mortar from olive wood • ראינו כיצד השמן זית נותן מאור ממש כפי שנתן כשהכהן הגדול הדליק את המנורה בבית המקדש בשמן זה. • Checking the lighting ability of the olive oil. • הזכרנו את סיפור נח והיונה ששבה לתיבה עם עלה זית בפיה,סמל לשלום בעולם,עד היום אנו משתמשים במוטיב זה כסמל לשלום. • Noah and the pigeon who returned to the ark with olive branch which has become a peace symbol until today • ראינו סמלים נוספים בהם מופיע ענף הזית,בסמל המנורה,סמל צה"ל,חרב המשולב בה ענף זית,ועוד • The olive tree in different symbols like the IDF tag • תלינו את תמונת "עץ הזית של אנה טיכו ששמה "עץ הזית",ציור באמצעות תרשים בעיפרון וגירי פחם בלבד,גם הילדים התנסו בכך. • Following Ana Ticho picture of the olive tree with coal drawing • לסיום הנושא נסענו למוזיאון אוצרות בחומה,שם חשפה בפנינו אורלי את תערוכת עץ הזית. • Finally we went to the museum

13. עם ישראל נמשל לשמן,שאינו מתערבב בשום משקה אלא צף ועולה למעלה,כך ישראל אינם מתערבבים באומות העולם וצפים מעלה .ערכנו ניסוי לראות אמיתות משל זה מהלנו שמן במים,השמן אכן צף.עם ישראל נמשל גם לעץ הזית,כשם שהעץ ירוק עד,תמיד ירוק ורענן,כך ישראל. חג חנוכה שמח מילדי גן "פרפר" עכו והצוות Happy Hanukkah from the children and the staff of “Parpar” kindergarten , Akko We diluted oil and water and saw how the water get over the oil.
