Professional Grade Toner Testers UNIFILL-900 (HP, Canon) UNIFILL-1000 (HP, Canon, Lexmark, IBM, Compaq, Samsung, Xerox)
Main Advantages A) Eliminates the need for test printers B) Test all components of a toner cartridge (Electrical Connections, OPC Drum, Mag Roller, Doctor Blade, PCR, Wiper Blade) C) Test Page Yield (RPM counter and scale required) D) Excellent reliability with confirmatory tests E) Overall cost reduction, increased productivity and higher profitability in toner remanufacturing
Setup After connecting the driver motor and testing cables: A) Use the driver compatibility chart to select which driver applies for the specific cartridge you are remanufacturing B) Open the fixture clamps and attach the appropriate driver onto the motor axle C) Raise the motor supporting plate and install the cartridge so that the cartridge and motor gears engage. Then lock the plate into place with the two screws on the back B
Setup (continued) D) Close the fixture clamps to maintain the cartridge firmly in place. Make sure to fasten the clamps keeping the OPC cover opened E) Attach the testing cables with the adhesive tape provided F) Once installed, test the cartridge as per instruction manual (STEPS 1,2,3,4,5,6 and CLEAN) G) After testing, loosening the front support clamp will allow you to easily remove the cartridge and replace with a new one
Page Yield Test • This test requires the following equipments: a 5 kg scale with 0.1 g accuracy; and an RPM counter. • Connect the rev sensor wires to the RPM counter terminals • Choose the cartridge to be tested, separate the cartridge into 2 parts (toner hopper part and waste hopper part). Weigh the toner hopper part and record the result • Install the cartridge onto the UNIFILL Toner Tester • Run “Test 1” to ensure that it is correctly installed • Calculate the number of revolutions required to complete 100 pages according to the formula n=2500/d where n= number of cylinder revolutions and d = OPC diameter • Reset the RPM counter and run “Test 2” for 100 pages • Remove the cartridge, and weigh the toner hopper part of the cartridge again • The difference between the initial weight and final weight is the amount of toner used • ASTM STD requires the test be done for 1000 pages • The results obtained should be compared with OEM cartridge results tested under the same conditions
Compatibility List / Driver List • NOTES: • The UNIFILL-900 works only on the HP and Canon models from the table above • The UNIFILL-1000 is universal and works on ALL of the above models
