Planning: What is a Strategic Plan? • Definition of Strategic Plan: • Systematicprocess of envisioning a desired future, and translating this vision into broadly defined goals or objectives and a sequence of steps to achievethem • Process of Strategic Plan • A strategic plan looks at all the things your organization can do and narrows it down to the things it is actually good at doing. A strategic plan also helps leadership determine where to spend time, human capital, and money
7 Questions: • What can our organization do better than any other organization? • What is our Mission Statement? • What is our Vision Statement? • What are our Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT)? • What are our goals? • What are our objectives? • Do we have the resources needed to achieve our plan?
Actionable and measurable objectivesare the foundation for the action plan of strategic planning.

Income and expenses: • Study the past three years of income and expenses. • Is there going to be an increase or a decrease in your overhead expenses? • What adjustments will need to be made to allow for the strategic plan’s implementation? Income Expense
