Golf courses are calling! Crow Creek Leopard’s Chase Tradition Club River Hills Crown Park True Blue
Real golfers drive to Myrtle Beach From the onset of this trip, driving has been a key component of the Myrtle Beach Trip experience. For the few who don’t relish 15 hours of car games, junk food and Route 95, we hope you shank one of the first tee!
Crow Creek Golfers that have experienced Crow Creek have made it a "must play" on their return visits to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Comments are received on a daily basis praising the imaginative layout, undulating L-93 bent grass greens, manicured Tifsport Bermuda fairways and genuine hospitality of the entire staff. "We will definitely tell our friends to play Crow Creek the next time they are in Brunswick County or Myrtle Beach", is a comment heard quite regularly.
True Blue is going to be one of the courses you will never forget. Named one of "America's 100 Greatest Public Courses" by Golf Digest and ranked in the top 10 of Golf Digest's "Top 50 Courses in Myrtle Beach," True Blue has lived up to its preopening hype. This well manicured layout features vast fairways and incredible elevations. The rolling terrain and native vegetation of this once thriving indigo and rice plantation makes for one of the most spectacular settings in golf.
Leopard’s Chase Golf Club Leopard’s Chase Golf Club is the newest ferocious “Top Cat” at Ocean Ridge Plantation, joining the award winning Tiger’s Eye, Panther’s Run and Lion’s Paw.This breathtaking par 72 championship layout was designed by renowned golf course architect and land planner Tim Cate. Labeled “a masterpiece” by those fortunate enough to have played Leopard’s Chase since its opening in February 2007.Traversing more than 220 acres of natural coastal terrain, Leopard’s Chase is graced with scenic landscapes, scattered with native grasses and plantings, including preserved wetlands, creating a series of picturesque vistas. The level of detail -from landscaping to extensive drainage- in unison with the time Tim Cate spent crafting Leopard’s Chase gives the course a mature look uncommon to most new courses. Highlighting the front 9 is the par 4 fifth hole, with its “island” green awash in a sea of pearl-white sand created by a large waste bunker that stretches 90 yards into the fairway. The biggest architectural splash on the course occurs at the par four 18th hole which moves slightly leftward to an elevated green guarded by an elegant man-made waterfall. Sixteen hundred gallons of water per minute cascade down a wall of coquina boulders.
River Hills "Modern in concept, yet traditional in nature, River Hills is a pleasing blend of old and new design ideas unlike any other course at the beach. Presenting the golfer with a unique, challenging experience, this course will be pleasing to play every day." - Tom Jackson, Architect The immaculately manicured greens provide optimum playing conditions throughout the year. The course provides four sets of tees, so golfers of all skill levels can enjoy an unforgettable playing experience. The Tradition Set Among the rolling terrain of a 16th century plantation, is a Ron Garl course designed in the tradition of the great courses from around the world. Test your power on large landing areas that allow for big swings off the tee and your accuracy against well-guarded greens that require precise shot making. Combined with exceptional beauty, it's a course that is as enjoyable to play as it is challenging.
