  2. Content Objective: • We will practice stretching one paragraph into a five-paragraph essay by creating an outline for each. • We will be able to list the similarities and differences between them in a double bubble map.

  3. Color-code the paragraph titled “Gabe and MC.” Green means Go = Introduction and Conclusion Yellow means Slow Down = Reasons, Details, or Facts Red means Stop= Explain what you mean

  4. Fill in the informal outline for the paragraph. Remember to use only a few key words for each sentence.

  5. Now do the same activity for the essay titled “Gabe and MC.” Green means Go = Introduction and Conclusion Yellow means Slow Down = Reasons, Details, or Facts Red means Stop= Explain what you mean

  6. The E’s: • Examples = Pick events from the story that are examples of the theme or message. • Explanations=Explain why you think the way you do. • Evidence=Give proof. • Experiences=Tell about similar events from your life . • Elaboration= Give more detail.

  7. Compare and Contrast With your shoulder partner, create a Double-Bubble map for a paragraph and an essay.
