  3. Prepositions: Function Prepositions always have an object that is a noun or a pronoun. The function of the preposition is to show time, direction, or space of the object. Really, prepositions help us establish relationships between things in a sentence.

  4. Prepositions: Examples Look at the difference in relationship based on a change in preposition. $10,000 for you $10,000 from you Notice how the relationship between the $10,000 and you changes based on one small word.
